Erling Haaland and team scripted history as Norway qualified for the World Cup 2026. Norway dominated the group, surpassing Spaghetti Mafia both times. After three decades, Norway is getting ready for the World Cup.

Last night, Norway nailed the ticket to the World Cup 2026, where Erling Haaland–led Vikings beat Spaghetti Mafia by a dominating 4-1. A first-half lead for Italia did not work for them. Norway fought back in the second half, where they scored four goals, two by Erling Haaland.

After the 1998 France World Cup, Norway qualified for the World Cup again. The drought finally ended with a dominant run where Norway did not lose any game. Their goal difference was huge, where Italy needed nine goals to reach directly to the mega event. For sure, it was not realistic against a team dominating strongly.

A lot of people are crediting Erling for that massive moment, but we have to mention the generational talent they have right now. Players like Alexander Sørloth, Antonio Nusa, Martin Ødegaard, and Jørgen Strand Larsen played a vital part in this run. Erling was one of the best players of the campaign, having 16 goals, where the second-ranked player had half of it.

Somehow, the masterclass of Ståle Solbakken, head coach of Norway, also deserves appreciation. The way he used the defence line and the counter-pressing combination. Norway did not dominate each game, but they proved clinical.
